Choosing gratitude

Gratitude can have a profound effect on our lives.

I recently decided to do a 1-month gratitude challenge - and I was so surprised how it went! I saw the impacts right away, so much so that I plan to continue it ongoing.

Here's the method I follow:

  • Write what - List 10 things a day that I'm grateful for

  • Write why - Write about WHY I'm grateful for them - I found this a really important step. When you use the word “because”, it helps you to really think about the reason why you’re grateful. It helps to elevate your endorphin and dopamine levels even more! (More on the benefits of gratitude in my other post here)

  • In the moment - Notice how I feel during the practice - I felt lighter and happier, almost immediately! Even on the days when this practice feels difficult.

  • Rest of your day - Notice how this impacts the rest of my day

  • Do the same thing again the following day!

Try this, and watch your life change!

Will you try this?
